North Devon free range chickens - locally produced on our farm near Braunton
We currently use two breeds of chicken, Hubbard and Sasso. They are slow growing breeds and produce a firm texture and wonderful flavour. We can guarantee that our chickens actually taste of chicken!
We buy day old chicks from the hatchery and for the first 4 weeks the chicks are kept warm under heat lamps before being transferred to an ark in the field where they can range freely.
Our chickens are allowed to mature on our pastures which are free from any kind of artificial fertilizer. The arks are moved every week to protect the pasture.
